Sen. Landrieu Says 20-Week Abortions are OK Because the Babies Could Not Survive Outside of a Hospital

U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana), who’s in a tough battle for re-election, says she opposes a recently passed late abortion ban in her home state (and a similar federal bill) because it bans abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

From ConservativeIntel.com:

Landrieu said she “personally” believes that life begins at conception, but that she opposes these measures because “20 weeks is not the norm for being able to live outside of a hospital.”

If the ability to survive outside of a hospital determines whether a human should be put to death, there are an awful lot of old and sick people who should be in the execution line.

We grabbed a video depicting a typical human fetus at the 20-week mark. After watching it, we believe even Sen. Landrieu (who is hopelessly caught between the conservative majority in her state and the leftist pro-abortion crowd in her party) would agree that 5-month fetuses are very human, very much alive, and certainly worth saving.
